The V8 Hotel was successfully equipped with the Digital Guest Folder by roompad for direct guest communication.
Simeon Schad, owner of the V8 Hotel and chairman of the section Tourism and Hospitality, DEHOGA district office Stuttgart knows best about hospitality. Since more than 20 years he is successfully running different hotel and gastronomy businesses in the region of Stuttgart. With the V8 Hotel he created a very unique hospitality concept in the former airport hotel of Böblingen that has over 34 rooms uniquely designed and equipped with quality material and grafical elements of the automovie world. A special highlight is the Mercedes-Suite in the once airport tower with 120 m² of space, spread over four floors including a terrace on the roof where you have an impressive view to the motorworld. His early focus on direct digital marketing of his hotel makes him a very innovative hotelier in the Stuttgart region.
To improve the guest communication in the V8 Hotel and to be able to offer individuell hotel offers to their guests as well as to provide geo-based touristic offers of the region of Stuttgart, a solution has been searched on the market to match all of the requirements.
After alternative products had been valuated in the context of the project "Digital Guest Folder Region Stuttgart" the V8 Hotel got to know roompad. Simeon Schad further explains: „The roompad tablet solution immediately convinced us by its intuitive usability, the smooth integration in our Propery Management System and the versatile design possibilties, regarding the promotion of our hotel offers and real-time communication via chat with our guests. Furthermore the implementation of the extensive tourist data interface was important to us, because every day we're receiving touristic information and offers form the Stuttgart region without any work on our side. Now the tourist data interface is being offered as a standard tool for all hotels in the region of Stuttgart. roompad is connecting both, the tourist data interface and the PMS in an excellent manner. Plus, roompad is a comprehensive solution that is enabling the digital extension of a continuous guest journey for us.“
The first roomservice and spa bookings had been placed by guests via roompad tablet already one day after the launch, Simeon Schad further reports. The same is true for the real-time chat on the roompad tablet which do guests frequently use.
After an online training of two hours the two responsible employees were well prepared to handle the roompad platform's integrated Content Management System. They can now use the roompad platform to bring new content to the roompad tablets fast and easily.
